Precious Sunday

Our weekend was so precious... a winter storm came through (yes, it sounds funny to say that!) and as a result, Jason had a 2 1/2 day weekend! I love cozy days in the camper as it is raining outside. Sunday dawned beautiful with bright sunshine, so after morning worship and lunch we took a drive up Mt Laguna to the snow.
This was Kimberly's first experience touching snow! Clearly she wasn't as impressed at this age as *hopefully* she will be in a few years. It would be odd if Jason & I have children who don't enjoy the snow as much as we do!

As we continued driving, we came around a corner and this was the amazing view that we saw:
The sign said that this is part of the Pacific Crest Trail, which runs from Mexico to Canada. Amazing. You can read more here.
We are amazed at the variety of climates in such a small area... from the ocean to the desert, the valleys to the mountains, sand to snow...

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
  whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
(Psalm 19:1-6 ESV)
