After
church on June 3rd, we hooked on to
the trailer and headed north. North through Los Angeles, north around the sod,
the dog, the boxes in the freeway. North towards first hotter temperatures and
finally north towards snow. North to Great Grandma, north to Multnomah Falls, north to home
sweet home.
This was my first experience traveling with the trailer. Although driving separate vehicles was a rather lonely way for us to travel, it was so nice to pull into the rest areas behind Jason & the trailer and be able to crawl into our own bed after brushing our teeth at our own sink and not having to haul anything into a hotel. The first night was so hot… 90* hot. It was due to exhaustion that we slept. The next night was down below 40* and we snuggled in under all of the covers with a snuggly Kimberly and both Jason and I actually stuck our feet out of the covers because it was so toasty! Brrr was it cold when we had to get out of bed!
Nothing compares to the feeling of finally passing the "Welcome to Montana" sign. *contented sigh*
